Photoalbum «Molodetsky Kurgan»

Molodetsky Kurgan is located in the western part of Zhiguli Mountains, opposite to the city of Togliatti. Having a height of 242.8 m above sea level, is one of the most known tops of Zhiguli. The top of the Kurgan has a magnificent view of the city, Kuibyshev Reservoir and the Usinsky gulf. The tour includes also visiting of Devya Mountain called younger sister of Molodetsky Kurgan. In the 50s, during construction of hydroelectric power station, more than a half of this mountain turns out to be under water. There is a monument to Yury Zakharov and to his friends on Devya Mountain. They died here rescuing sinking people in 1963. Molodetsky Kurgan is stepped in a lot of legends. Here, in the territory of national park, grows about 200 species of unique plants, some of them are in "Red Book".
